About Me

My name is Laura Griffing. I am currently attending the University of Idaho in pursuit of a degree in Agribusiness. I am also the proud mom of two wonderful furry critters: Grumpy, a three legged tabby cat, and Tank, a black cocker spaniel. Both are recuses who have beat the odds and became wonderful family members. I absolutely love capturing the beauty of nature through photography. There is nothing better then going on a hike with Tank and my camera and exploring the outdoors.

During the year I live in Pullman, WA with my partner in crime Quinn, who assists with photo shoots, critter care, and technology troubles. In my precious moments between running a business, being a college student, and division 1 athlete, I slack line and do yoga. This coming February I will retire from a 16 year amateur swimming career and plan to take my camera on a snowboarding adventure for the first time.

I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Kodiak, Alaska. Kodiak is a commercial fishing town nestled in the mountains. It's scenery provides excellent photographic opportunities year round. In the summertime I am lucky enough to work for the state as a Fish and Game sockeye salmon catch sampler. I get to fly all over Kodiak with my camera capturing its impressive landscapes.
